Marcella Nelson

Volunteer extraordinaire Marcella Nelson grew up on a farm in Paradise Valley near Bonners Ferry. Idaho. She had a 37-year career with the Department of Labor State of Idaho, then retired and volunteered at the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce full-time as an events fundraiser and membership coordinator. Next, Marcella was invited to be the Executive Director of the Ponderay Community Development Corporation, which she managed for nine years until retiring in 2013. She was married to her husband for over 49 years until he unfortunately passed in 2000.
