Festival at Sandpoint Welcomes New Staff and Board Member
The Festival at Sandpoint is excited to welcome former intern and Coeur d'Alene native Madison Canale to the full-time staff.
Canale will be joining the team as the Festival at Sandpoint’s Executive & Programming Assistant.
Canale has a varied background in the music industry and received her Bachelor of Science in Music Business from Full Sail University. She has held previous roles at Alchemy Music Management in Coeur d’Alene and Q Management Group in Nashville.
In 2023, she worked at the Festival at Sandpoint as a summer intern, specializing in hospitality and marketing.
“Madison will be an incredible asset to our organization,” Executive Director Allison Baranski said. “We cannot wait to see how her passion and dedication will add to the organization and help the Festival better fulfill its mission and serve our community.”
The Festival at Sandpoint would also like to welcome Sarah Pillsbury as the newest member of the nonprofit’s board of directors.
Pillsbury grew up in Sandpoint, with many fond summer memories of dancing at the Summer Series. This deep connection to the community inspired a lifelong passion for service.
After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Human Physiology, she moved to Quito, Ecuador, to work for a nonprofit providing prosthetics to amputees. This experience highlighted the transformative power of community support.
A move to San Diego followed, where Pillsbury has found a fulfilling career working at Classy.org, a GoFundMe company helping and empowering nonprofit fundraising.
Ready to return to her roots in the summer of 2023, she moved back to Sandpoint to raise her family. Pillsbury now lives in Sandpoint with her husband, Ryan, and twin girls. She is excited to bring her diverse experiences and dedication to community service to the board of directors.
