Festival at Sandpoint Welcomes Three New Board Members

The Festival at Sandpoint is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors: Kaleb Keaton, Liz Morris, and Bea Speakman.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kaleb, Liz, Bea, and to the board,” Executive Director Ali Baranski said. “Each of them brings unique perspectives and expertise that will help guide the Festival into its next chapter of success.”

Keaton was born and raised in Sandpoint, and spent his childhood swimming in the lake, skiing on the mountain, and attending the Festival with his friends and family year after year.

While pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Florida State University, he was involved with Student Campus Entertainment, where he was chair of the comedy committee and was involved with numerous events and productions designed to provide culture and entertainment to the student body.

Keaton received his master's degree in counseling psychology from Boston College and has worked in numerous areas within the field, including developmental intervention, substance abuse treatment, mental health therapy, and life coaching.

Morris was born and raised in the Finger Lakes area of New York. After receiving her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Ithaca College, she moved to Southern California where she gained clinical experience in a wide variety of therapeutic settings, ranging from public schools, private pediatric clinics, and a major hospital. During this time, she married her husband of almost 11 years. With thoughts of starting a family, Morris and her husband moved to his hometown of Sandpoint, Idaho.

Through her work in healthcare, Morris gained skills in managing diverse needs and expectations, impeccable time management, and attention to detail. In her spare time, she enjoys lake days at her family’s properties, crafting and baking with her kids, and seeking out adventures with her husband, Taylor. Morris is excited to jump into supporting the Festival at Sandpoint and its many facets that enrich our community.

Speakman grew up in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and, having had the opportunity to see the world in her youth and, as an adult she concluded that the best place to live and raise a family is in Sandpoint, Idaho.

She has been an insurance professional for 34 years and applies her years of experience in the insurance industry to help clients and the community navigate the often uncomfortable experience of insurance. Speakman owns and operates her own agency, Speakman Insurance Agency in Ponderay with her husband. Together they provide advice and direct access to Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance policies.

In her free time, Speakman and her husband enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming, volleyball, and attending the Festival at Sandpoint. She looks forward to serving the community and preserving its beauty and the beautiful experiences found in this beautiful place we call home.
